British mezzo soprano from Staffordshire Moorlands.
Daisy is an alumna of the Royal Academy of Music and a current student of Vocal & Opera Studies at the Royal Northern College of Music. Previous highlights include: Waterperry Opera Festival Young Artist 2023, The Grange Festival 2021.
Daisy is a 24-year-old mezzo-soprano from Staffordshire Moorlands. She is currently studying for a Master of Arts at the Royal Northern College of Music with Sam Queen. Daisy continues to also be taught by Amanda Roocroft.
Daisy was an undergraduate scholar at the Royal Academy of Music where she studied with Mary Nelson and Joseph Middleton.
Recent engagements include Royal Page in The Snowmaiden at RNCM and chorus in Carmen at Waterperry Opera Festival 2023, where Daisy was a Young Artist. Other roles at Waterperry include Nancy (Albert Herring, scenes), Idamante (Idomeneo, scenes), Sally (A Hand of Bridge) and Third Lady (Die Zauberflöte, scenes). Previously, Daisy performed in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (The Grange Festival, 2021). Other solo engagements include Rossini’s Petite Messe Sollenelle (Amersham Choral Society), Durufle’s Requiem (Stone Choral Society), Faure’s Requiem (Stone Choral Society), Haydn’s Missa Sancti Nicolai (Fleetwood Choral Society) and Schubert’s Mass in A-flat (Lytham St Anne’s). Daisy was delighted to be a finalist in the RNCM’s Frederick Cox Prize for Singing 2024 and the Joyce and Michael Kennedy Award for the Singing of Strauss 2024.
Upcoming engagements include: Angel in Elgar’s The Dream of Gerontius with Stockport Symphony Orchestra, Preston Opera GalaLazuli in Chabrier’s L’etoile with RNCM Opera.
